On last night’s WrestlingInc post show Matt Morgan was highly critical of the WWE title Steel Cage match:
“It felt like two mid carders out there and this is what happens when you treat two guys like mid carders for as long as you did with them then finally decide to go with them.
Kofi has yet to get that big rub as Champion. He should’ve feuded with Randy Orton someone on that level so he could get a rub. Or if he came back even a John Cena you know what I’m saying?
Guys I hate to say it but a feud with Shane might just be what Kofi needs. Just as long as Shane doesn’t win the title.”

Sasha Banks Explains Why She Recently Went To Japan

Sasha Banks took to social media to explain why she recently traveled to Japan during her WWE hiatus. Here is what she posted:
In life, there are a lot of things I’ve always wanted to accomplish. Not for the sake of telling the world I did it, but for me, and only me. Things that feed this hunger inside me. Things that, when everything else in the world disappears, still brings me a heartfelt of joy that makes me remember why I am who I am.
This past week I was lucky enough to travel to japan and train with some of the best wrestlers in the world. I walked in with an open mind, and open heart, and became a student once again. To say that this was a dream come true is an understatement.
Thank you @meiko_satomura @sendaigirlspro_official @dicktogofor allowing me to become a part of your world. One day I will return, and we will make good on the magic we have between us. Thank you.

UFC fighter to use Kurt Angle’s theme as his walk-out song this Saturday on ESPN

Colby Covington will be entering the Octagon at UFC on ESPN 5 to one of the most popular WWE theme songs, “Medal,” which is Kurt Angle’s entrance theme.
Ariel Helwani reported that Covington got Kurt Angle’s – and WWE’s – permission to use the song as his walk-out song for the event that will take place on August 3 at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey.
Covington is a good friend of WWE Superstar Bobby Lashley and it was Lashley who “brokered” the deal for him.
The song “Medal” was originally used for The Patriot but then was given to Kurt Angle when he made his debut. It’s best known for fans chanting “you suck” during the theme, something that will probably happen as well in Newark when Covington walks down to the cage.
The event will also have in attendance two of the sons of U.S. President Trump, Donald Trump Jr and Eric Trump, who are both supporters of Covington.Click Here:

Vince McMahon has reportedly mandated some major chances for Smackdown tonight at the last minute…again. Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer reports that McMahon “tore up the show” two hours ago (from the time of this writing) and has changed the main event from Kofi Kingston vs. Daniel Bryan to Kingston and Xavier Woods vs. Bryan and Erick Rowan. WWE has not yet announced the change.
McMahon did the same thing last week, asking for the show to be entirely rewritten just two and a half hours before the show started. It’s not yet certain what other changes might be in play for the show, which was previously announced to include Shane McMahon appearing on the Kevin Owens show and Kofi Kingston responding to Randy Orton.

Goldberg talks about his “perfect storm of crappiness” match against The Undertaker

Appearing on the ESPN 97.5 radio show The Hall of Fame with Booker T and Brad Gilmore, former Universal champion Bill Goldberg discussed the match he had with The Undertaker at Super ShowDown in Saudi Arabia.
Goldberg said he’s not there to make any excuses and the match was the “perfect storm of crappiness” for him. The reason why he took the match in the first place was because he labeled it as the opportunity of a lifetime to wrestle the Undertaker, someone who he never crossed paths with.
He admitted that going into the match, there were two things he could have done…either get in really good shape or try to get as big as possible so he doesn’t look that old. So he chose to get in good shape and lose weight.
Goldberg said that 50% of the time that he did that ring post spot which knocked him out always ended up bad for him. “That’s a spot that a couple of the bookers came up to me and said…well, we called it!”
